Building Upon Our Past, Charting Our Future! Dear Parish Family, How much should we give to God? Five percent? Ten percent?
Actually, Stewardship begins with 100 percent. If we have not given God our whole heart, mind, and strength, it is very difficult to give any percentage of our time, talent, and treasure.
I am inviting all parishioners—those who are very active and those who have not been to church in years— to rededicate themselves to God and our parish community.
If you are very active at St. Catherine’s, what more is God calling you to do?
If you come to Mass infrequently, will you take a small step and come this Sunday?
Whatever your level of involvement in our parish, I ask that you complete a Stewardship Commitment Card (if you haven’t done so already). You can use your card to make commitments to prayer, parish ministries, and offertory giving.
Please take this opportunity to take a small step forward. The Lord is always calling us toward Himself—your service and support in our parish are ways respond to His call.
"He who confers benefits will be amply enriched, and he who refreshes others will himself be refreshed." Proverbs 11:24
In our own Stewardship Handbook, we give you details on the many varied stewardship opportunities within St. Catherines:
• Liturgical Ministries - how you can help out without Mass; choir, altar servers, communion ministers, etc. Click here. • Social Outreach - helping those in the community at large; clothing collections, Benincasa, and more. Click here. • Parish Life - fun and meaningful social activities; community players, providing food for various gatherings, and so on. Click here. • Seasonal or as needed - Occasional activities, such as handyman activities and gardening. Click here. • Administrative - Finances, Stewardship, Pastoral Council, etc. Click here.
"If you have two coats, give one to the poor. If you have food, share it with those who are hungry." Luke 3:11
