Each fall, boys and girls in fourth through sixth grade are invited to join the altar servers ministry. New servers must attend a two-hour training session where they practice altar servers' duties, as well as a brief review before they serve for the first time. New servers are paired with experienced servers for first few months. Altar servers assist at weekend Masses and during holy day celebrations. Each server is scheduled approximately once a month. Servers must be willing and able to carry the cross.
