be who God meant you to be and you will set the world on fire."
--St. Catherine of Siena
I would like to acknowledge Holly Jentsch, St. Catherine’s interpreter for our Deaf & Hard of Hearing community members. She gives so generously her stewardship of Time and Talent almost every weekend at 10:30 a.m. Mass, special events, parish programs like Christ Life and the 5 W’s, and funerals. Holly also attended the Confirmation Celebration at the Cathedral for our community members. Holly is such a joy to be around, along with her wonderful family. Thank you, Holly, for being so giving of your time and talent to share the Word of God.
With Gratitude,

One of the great blessings in my life is to be able to gather with wonderful folks to celebrate daily Mass. Those who are the “regulars” are my “family.” We are there for one another not only for Mass but all the days of the week and weekend. Tradition is that we sing no matter how many people may be attending. It is true that on the very rare day where there is only one person in attendance (think snow days), we still sing! I am grateful to two faithful daily Mass attendees who lead us in song. Art Melville and Chris Radi guide and help those of us, speaking specifically of myself, who are energetic and enthusiastic, but just not the voice quality of Renee Fleming and Pavarotti! Nonetheless, these two wonderful stewards share their God-given talents to help the rest of us sound like a choir of angels! What a blessing the morning Mass is because of the Lord’s presence and people like Art and Chris who make the community a blessing!
With Alleluias,
Father Rob
I would like to nominate Ken Piazza for a Star Light. Ken has set such a wonderful example of stewardship for parishioners of all ages. He tirelessly gives of his time with different ministries including his talents as a drummer.
One example of Ken giving so much for our parish was on the final night of this year’s Schnacky play. Ken helped play music into the late hours of the night. He was at Mass the following morning to play the drums once again. Ken took time during Mass to help teach our young parishioners during Children’s Liturgy of the Word. After Mass, he attended Bell Choir practice and assisted the Schnacky players with cleaning up.
Most of us would need a break after that grueling schedule, but Ken was at St. Catherine’s again in the evenings for our Parish Mission. Our parish could not function well without the hard work and dedication of parishioners such as the Piazza family. Thank you Ken for all that you do!
Gratefully,
Jamie Fishgold
