be who God meant you to be and you will set the world on fire."
--St. Catherine of Siena
We have been in interesting times these past several months. We have all adjusted our lives to keep ourselves and others healthy and safe. The parish has made many adjustments as well. Realizing the parish has been adjusting its operations, our teen parishioner Ryan Connors offered to fill in where he could help the parish through these days of “hiccups!” I nominate Ryan for a Star Light for his generosity in volunteering in whatever needs the parish has had. His willingness, talents, skills, and stewardship has been very much appreciated. Thank you, Ryan! God Bless you, my friend!
Gratefully,
Father Rob and Staff
Diane Dailey is a candidate for multiple Star Lights. Over the past two months, she has been working on the parish campus gardens and making them look beautiful. She has been weeding and edging the gardens. She has been trimming and pruning the hydrangeas and other shrubs. She donated and planted some annuals and perennial flowers as well. She also helped plant eight “Knock Out Roses” and spread a large load of mulch which were all donated by some generous parishioners. When she is not working the gardens, Diane is busy cleaning and helping maintain the playground and that area. She is also the leader of the “Bright Red Bookshelf” ministry. She is a member of the Buildings & Grounds ministry and also a Collection Counter. Diane is a prime example of Stewardship and deserves this Star Light.
With gratitude,
Bob Goldbach
I would like to nominate Kathy Goldbach for a Star Light who helped to weed and clean up the parish campus gardens. She helped plant some annual and perennial flowers that were donated by generous parishioners. She also helped to spread 10 yards of mulch that was also donated by a generous parishioner. Many hours were spent completing these tasks and the campus gardens look great as a result of the hard work and effort. Thank you to this steward of our parish.
Gratefully,
Bob Goldbach
On behalf of the Parish Staff, I would like to nominate Dotty for a STARLIGHT as she begins her new adventures! Our parish will miss all her special sewing touches and additions to the Arts & Environment and Garden work that she has helped with over the 30+ years of being a member at St. Catherine. Dottie, thank you for all your hard work, and please don’t be a stranger! We will miss you and your family! Godspeed.
In Gratitude,
Karen Luke
I would like to nominate Scott Tubbs for a Star Light. There was a large tree that was partially uprooted and fell on the lawn area behind the church. It was starting to kill the grass and was becoming a hazard for mowing. Scott is a very active member of the Buildings and Grounds ministry and we discussed this item at one of our meetings. Last week Scott cut up the tree and cleaned up the lawn area so the grass can grow and it is safe to mow again.
Thank you, Scott, for all your efforts over the past years with various projects. You are a good “steward” of our parish community.
In gratitude,
Bob Goldbach
