THANK YOU to Karen, Emma, Lynne, Noah and Kaden for spending a very hot and humid night in your cars as part of the “Night Without a Bed” event which raised awareness and funds to fight family homelessness. These five dedicated individuals raised more than $1600 for Family Promise of Rochester (formerly RAIHN). Thank you to Karen, Emma, Lynne, Noah and Kaden. The funds raised will certainly help homeless families in the area.
You are heroes to your St. Catherine’s family!
Gratefully,
Maureen O’Connor
Some people are perpetual sinners, and others, like Tony, are perpetual Star Lights! Here’s what Tony did this time…Tony has always supported us with his live music at the 5:00 Mass. However, his talent and dedication were never more evident and impactful as it was during the pandemic. Tony was there on Day 1 of the pandemic reopening of Mass at St. Catherine’s on June 27, 2020. Singing and humming were not allowed, but Tony’s music was there to greet us and complete the prayers. Eventually our recorded choir was added and Tony played right along. He never missed a Mass and his accompaniment during the very different Eucharist liturgy provided a much needed comfort during our transformed pandemic Mass.
“Thank you” Tony, for your ever-shining light.
In gratitude,
Karen Zielinski
