be who God meant you to be and you will set the world on fire."

Thank goodness for Margie Benza at The Church of the Transfiguration. Without her vision, insight, and follow-through the parishes of St. Catherine and Transfiguration would not be Streaming every Sunday together! She has worked tirelessly coordinating the logistics and the behind the scenes to make the Streaming happen. Thank you, Margie, for being a STARLIGHT to St. Catherine of Siena during this pandemic.
With Gratitude,
Karen Luke
I would like to nominate these three amazing friends from The Church of the Transfiguration for a Star Light. They have worked tirelessly to get Online Streaming for Mass up and running smoothly since day 1. We are so blessed to have an amazing relationship with our neighboring parish that they have welcomed Fr. Rob with open arms to concelebrate Mass on Sundays and especially Holy Week. Thank you again, Vicki, Nancy & Fr. Mike for your kindness and support!
With Gratitude,
Karen Luke
My heart is full and heavy with the thoughts of Camela and Jamie Fishgold moving to Arizona. The call to be closer to family has them moving and it is totally understandable. Camela is our Parish Secretary but so, so much more. In the years of being with Camela, there IS NOTHING she cannot do for the goodness of the parish. Camela has a great sense and prayerfulness that has brought us countless blessings. Jamie, her husband, who has been our Coordinator of Faith Formation, brought renewed graces and joys to our young children and their families since taking on this role. He has made a deep and prayerful impression on all those who have walked with him in their faith and sacramental preparations. I know his blessings will live on in our parish even as he leaves us.
These two stewards do much more than most of you may even realize for our faith community. I’ll just mention one. During this pandemic, Camela and Jamie have taken the food and other needed donations from our Chapel and delivered them to the HFL collection spots. This has been a daily and weekly act of stewardship. Many “Star Lights”, who I do not know, bring these important donations to our Chapel. These donations are then appropriately delivered by two Star Lights I know so well…Camela and Jamie! You two are the best!! I better stop here or I won’t be able to see what I want to say next.
Love,
Rob
We have been moved by the generosity of so many during this pandemic. One person who has been present to think of others during the pandemic is Sally Whitbeck. When Sally saw a request from the Catholic Family Center for volunteers to sew masks, not only did she make masks, but she arranged for St. Catherine’s Chapel to be a designated drop-off spot. Two months into the pandemic, Sally is still making 25-30 masks a week for the CFC. Once, when dropping off masks at the Chapel, she was asked to help make another 50 masks for the Diocese of Rochester. Sally made them all! In addition, she makes another 25-30 a week for Sew Creative in Fairport (helping nursing homes, police departments, and the military). Sally’s “social distancing” is being generously shared so people may safely move among others. God Bless you, Sally, for doing this blessed act of Stewardship.
Gratefully,
Father Rob and Karen Zielinski
I want to thank and acknowledge Karen for her great idea for a parish fun activity during this time of isolation. The great idea of the Easter Butter Lamb Pageant was a great way to digitally connect with our parish. Thank you for setting it up and bringing it to the attention of the staff! We love fun and creative ideas and that was a blast!
Gratefully,
Karen Luke
