I want to nominate Bob Gruber for sharing his God given talent of woodworking with our parish and helping to raise money for the CMA by raffling off the beautiful sideboard he created. I also want to offer special thanks for the expert guidance he provided to a fellow parishioner. Bob has so generously shared his time and talents with our parish. Thank you!
Gratefully,
Kelly Curran
The last in-person Masses held at St. Catherine’s and Transfiguration before being closed due to the pandemic were on Sunday, March 15, 2020. Streaming began the very next weekend from Transfiguration, and in one month’s time, Ron, Mike, Jeff (and later that fall, Connor) began mixing the recorded voices and instruments of our newly created “combined virtual choir” so that our Masses would not be silent. These recordings have been used in our liturgies ever since so that the sung prayer of the people might continue. Because of the countless hours of work spent by Ron, Mike, Jeff and Connor, the voice and music of every choir member was present to enhance our liturgies. To all: your love of music in praise and worship of our heavenly Father has sustained us through the darkness of this past year and has kept an important piece of “normal” in our ears and hearts. Thank you for these beautiful gifts of time and talent which are our treasure!
With Gratitude,
Pam McInerney
