We nominate Steve Carey, Sally & Jim Whitbeck, Mike West, and Kim Hill for Star Lights. In spite of the threat of Covid-19, beginning at the end of July, when Matthew’s Closet reopened, they each took several loads of donations from the St. Catherine’s Shed to the Matthew’s Closet on Bay Street. They put themselves at personal risk to take our donations to people in the city who truly need them. Steve and Mike have volunteered for many years; the Whitbecks, for several years and this is Kim’s first time. These volunteers are St. Catherine’s shining stars.
